The iH8sn0w team just released their Sn0wbreeze v2.5 jailbreak tool for iOS 4.3.1 devices. Sn0wbreeze is PwnageTool to Windows, which was originally made for Mac OS X that create a Custom IPSW for your device, used to restore with iTunes and ultimately jailbreaking iPhone and iPod Touch devices. sn0wbreeze can customize your ipsw, to have the Partition Size, reserved space for Cydia, Hacktivation Option, Custom Boot/Recovery Images, et cetera. This is a simple guide to jailbreak (untethered) almost any iOS 4.3.1 device on Mac or Windows (iPhone 4, 3GS, iPad 1, iPod touch 4, 3G)

Note:

• This works with iPhone 4(AT&T), iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 4, iPod Touch 3G, and iPad 1
• This DOESN’T work with iPhone 4(verizon) and iPad 2
• iPhone 4 Unlockers don’t do this, Ultrasn0w isn’t ready.
• On Windows make sure to right click on Redsnow.exe and run it in Windows XP SP3 Compatibility Mode and as Administrator.

When iPhone iOS4.3 was in beta stages, msftguy came up with an ultrasn0w fixer located here . Since he open sourced it, iH8sn0w was able to port it over to the official 4.3 public release. This works for the iPhone 3GS atm. iPhone 4 is pending.
