The final version of RedSn0w 0.9 for MAC and Windows got official released today! RedSn0w is a cross-platform jailbreaking, unlocking, and customizing tool for iPhones and iPod Touches. Customizations include boot logos, recovery logos, and “verbose” boot. It’s a standalone program that doesn’t use iTunes (no custom IPSWs are involved).

A few hours ago, iH8sn0w released the 1.2 version of Sn0wbreeze, a application that lets you create custom firmware  to Jailbreak your iPhone / iPod Touch in Windows. Version 1.2 fixes these issues:

• Fixed issue with Cydia crash
• Added a fix for Blacksn0w
• Added a fix during the construction of custom firmware
• Fixed other minor bugs

RedSn0w 0.9 Beta 3 for iPhone and iPod Touch finally got released by the Dev Team. Download RedSn0w 0.9 files for both MAC and Windows from our forum.

It differs from blackra1n because:

• It uses our original Pwnage bootrom exploit for iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G, and iPod 1G. (Because it’s a bootrom exploit, it can’t be fixed by Apple without a new hardware release.) Note that redsn0w 0.9 does use the USB exploit for iPhone 3GS and iPod 2G running 3.1.2, but that exploit will be fixed in Apple’s next FW release.
• It offers custom logos and verbose boot
• It installs Cydia without needing a separate download
• It’s not as fast (but redsn0w handles more variations )

The beta version of Sn0wbreeze is now available for download. To download Sn0wbreeze, simply go to the official website and download the app. Sn0wBreeze is the unofficial port of the Dev Teams PwnageTool (jailbreaking) for Windows.

Sn0wbreeze is compatible with:

We got two important announcements from the DevTeam. The first concerns a new version of Redsn0w of which we wrote about a few days ago. The tool will unlock the iPhone by acting directly on the Firmware installed on your iPhone, including version 3.1.2.

The second title is from MuscleNerd that informs us of the arrival of an official version of Pwnage Tool for Windows and Linux, allowing users to create a custom firmware already includes dell’unlock and Jailbreak.
