News from DailyiPhoneBlog.com:

Haypi Dragon is an action packed multiplayer online role playing game. It has many different features such as physics based firing, and all the replay with different task, magic, and achievements to accomplish through out the game.

Haypi Dragon has different levels of actions to accomplish. Along the way you will feel the vibrations when the bombs hit the ground. You simply tap the screen to position your firing range toward your opponent. Haypi Dragon offers many different hidden scenes along the way. You don’t know what the next scene will bring. It can be set to the desired level challenging level. Your opponent will fire back at you when you least expect it.

My favorite selection of the game is person versus person combat (PVP). While playing PVP battles you are able to invite up to four friends to compete against each other in an all out battle against each other. Haypi Dragon has beautiful graphics on every scene. The new iPad retina display just adds to the beauty of all the work and detail the developers went into to create this awesome game.

So whether you want to challenge yourself in a personal battle against the simulated physical designs, the different challenging levels, or the PVP battles Haypi Dragon offers many hours of fun and challenges for any players. The game suggest gameplay for all ages. However, I don’t think it would be suited for ages under ten. It does offer some challenging game play. So unless your ten or younger, I recommend checking out Haypi Dragon.

TravelVegas is a free application designed for preparing a trip to Vegas. The application has nine different categories which are deals, hotels, shows, dining, nightlife, transportation, tours, attractions and air. You can see from the list it covers anything a tourist might need to visit Vegas.

TravelVegas shows current weather in the status bar. It includes three categories across the bottom of the home screen. The categories are home, travel guides, and favorites. Each of the nine categories shows directions to the location as driving, public transportation, or walking directions. The driving directions are opened in Google maps. I thought it would be nice to include different map applications such as Waze.

The travel guides includes things such as taxi tips, kid shows, family attractions, and many more. They did a great job putting together a list of all the different types of entertainment inside Vegas.

The favorites category allows the user to add any location they desire. Simply tap the plus symbol in the top right corner. It will add it to the favorites list. The user may later delete or refer to it again. TravelVegas definitely will spark interest with many. I think we will see many different cities added ad time progresses.

If you are planning a trip to Vegas I would definitely download this application to be better prepared in all situations. Find your hotel, taxis, restaurants, and more. While your there just refer to your app for anything you need. What better way to get use of such an expensive device? Let’s turn it into all other devices we could ever need. Click here to download now.

News from DailyiPhoneBlog.com:

God of Defence is a castle defense title from MGame Mobile that aims to shake up the usual formula but has unfortunately failed miserably in their goal.

Instead of developing your own army to defend against waves of invading skeleton warriors, players use a different tactic in God of Defence. The backstory isn’t exactly clear—I am not sure who, precisely, I am defending—apparently the defending fortress lacks an army and that is it. It’s obviously the developers didn’t put any thought into the story or by giving the Players a reason to actually be playing their game. Some players might not mind this issue but I find it extremely annoying. Anyways Players manipulate the giant hand of this warrior god to wreak havoc on the enemy via three different elemental skills and a variety of items and special attacks.

This universe seems to revolve around the elements of fire, ice, and plasma, and those elements form the basis for both your basic skills and your special weapons. Plasma, incidentally, is of the lightening variety, not the blood variety. While you’ll start out with just fire, you can purchase ice and plasma attacking “gloves” early on with the in-game currency you earn in the first stages, and switching elements of attack is handled by tapping their respective buttons beside the attack button. The problem is that the in-game currency is expensive and basically makes me buy items from the very beginning that made me hate the game from the start. At least give us more playing time before we deciding on spending money.

It’s obvious the developers here are greedy and it really turned me off about the game. But once you start the game a target that floats to the upper right of the hand lets you focus your abilities with ease, and since accuracy plays a role in your scoring (and therefore your rewards) for each level, make use of it. Moving on the battlefield is handled differently, depending on whether it’s a vertical or horizontal movement—tilt to move right and left, touch and slide to move up and down. The use of the iPhone’s gyroscope is more of an annoyance than intuition. It’s bothersome and I wish I could just switch it off.

God of Defence is both simpler and more challenging than other tower defense games. It’s simpler in that there’s a little less thinking on the run yet it’s more challenging in terms of controls and planning. Developing one character instead of an army means that if your strategy is flawed, you’re going to have to spend more time making up your mistakes by earning more blood to make the appropriate upgrades. The sad thing is that you will be making mistakes early on in the game and will be forced to buy the in-game items. I really hate this because the developers made the game too difficult. In addition, you can’t upgrade or purchase items during combat, so it’s best to be as prepared as possible, and blood isn’t all that easy to come by on the battlefield.

The game’s graphics aren’t terribly advanced, but they get the job done. So far, the enemy soldiers I’ve encountered have been skeletal, of a variety of classes, easily identified by their gear. Various attacks are nicely animated according to the element they correspond with, mowing the bad guys down in a satisfying way but God of Defence’s flawed controls and in-game currency mode really ruined the game.

God of Defence is in the App Store now for free (iTunes Link).

News from DailyiPhoneBlog.com:

If you can’t take the heat, get out of the kitchen. Cannibal Cookout is a free iOS game developed by MeYuMe. It can be played on any of the iOS devices. The only requirement is the app must be installed on firmware 4.3 or later. Cannibal Cookout offers hours of entertainment for all ages. The graphics are phenomenal as well as the music played while playing the game.

The object of the game is to become head chef. In order to accomplish this task you must first catch nibblers and prepare them for eating. The only problem is the nibblers are hard to catch. So getting the nibblers in the pot requires some thinking.

At the beginning of the game, you may select from two different Cannibals, Hector or Elvira. Once you have selected, you may watch the game tutorial if needed or go straight into gameplay. The game doesn’t require any in-app purchases but the player can make purchases to advance faster through the game.

The player must also complete recipes for cooking the nibblers. These recipes have different ingredients, which can be acquired, at different levels throughout the game. The faster this can be accomplished the better and more points you will earn while playing.

The game definitely does a great job displaying the different levels of the game. I enjoy watching the different characters animations through out the game. The best part about the game is price. Being a free game it still doesn’t require in-app purchases to advance, like so many others do. You can purchase different ingredients for your recipes in the shop as well as other things but it is not necessary to be competitive in the game. You can compete with others on Gamecenter should you wish.

Overall, this is one of the best free games I have played in a while. The graphics are phenomenal and doesn’t require any other money spent to advance. So if you are looking for entertainment I say give it a try.

Mobicle has done it again: launched a new game that’s practically guaranteed to suck you in and waste your time in the most glorious way. If you dig social games with friends, this one is for you. Get ready to expand your online worlds with a taste of the frontier before it was tamed.

Bloody Western is a cowpoke and gunslinger flavored entry into the online simulation games category that allows the player to take on one of two personas: Old West Sheriff, or Old West Outlaw. Within each of those two categories, you can choose one of three classes based on your preference—for example, justice might be your main focus, or getting rich, or just being the fastest draw west of the Mississipp’. Those options shape what your other game features will look like, but they don’t really affect the mechanics of the game.

As for those mechanics, Bloody Western is an RPG in the style made ever so popular by Facebook’s SNG (social network games). Take for example, Mafia Wars. This is a very similar set up in terms of menus, but with some nice improvements on that model. The theme and additional interactive modules leave Bloody Western head and shoulders above the competition, while preserving the aspects of Facebook’s SNG genre that make those games so irresistibly addictive.

The best interactive feature in the game is the dueling mode. Like many SNG genre titles, you can choose from a live list of opponents to “duel.” This still isn’t exactly a real-time operation, but now you can participate more than simply rolling the (invisible, virtual) dice. In addition to just making savvy choices (who hasn’t banked their cash, who has lower stats than you), you can also hone your dueling skills to get better results. Only the active player participates, so the results are instant. Essentially, when you choose to duel another player’s character, a representation of that character appears and is peppered with bullets. To increase your chances of winning, you tap each bullet as it’s encircled in red. Perfect timing results in critical shots. Don’t worry though, you won’t be bleeding cash too badly if you don’t log in to bank: perfecting dueling requires a ton of practice. So stats are still king.

And remembering to put your goods in the strong box. Speaking of the strongbox, that’s one of the few criticisms I have of the game. Not of the system, but its implementation. The problem is, to move gold from your stash to the strong box, you have to tap “withdrawal” rather than the far more intuitive “deposit.” I left quite a bit of gold sitting around for a while and bought a lot of unnecessary businesses to avoid that because I thought it was bugged at first. Nope, just tap the button that makes no sense. Hopefully they’ll fix that, or make it more clear, in the next update. Of course, another great feature is adding friends to your posse in the game, making it possible to progress farther. That’s half the fun of social network type games.

In terms of visual and audio aesthetics, Bloody Western fits in with its other SNG company, with a bit of added polish and higher quality. A gravelly whiskey-and-cigars saloon voice narrates your menu choices, there are plenty of gunshots to go around, and the illustrations are oh-so-Tombstone. It stands out even amongst other games for guys with a particularly rough and ready attitude.

Bloody Western is free in the iTunes App Store now, and it’s a fun way to interact with your friends while proving who’s the baddest gunslinger around.

News from DailyiPhoneBlog.com:

Anyone who uses their iPhone to its full potential is probably connected all over the Web. Between social networking sites and email, calls and texting are almost secondary features for smartphone users. The developers of my facecard recognize this, as well as our increasing ability to customize not only our own online experiences but the experiences others have interacting with us online. With all that in mind, they’ve created a new type of contact card sharing application that connects the dots while it connects people to one another.

Contact listings in your phone can get messy—how many times has someone emailed you at a defunct address? How many times have you found someone’s FB profile and realized you never had it synced with the rest of their info in your phone? With my facecard, that could become a thing of the past. Instead of depending on your contact’s software to make all the connections, you’ll create your own “facecard”—a personal version of a business card, kinda—digitally. This virtual card will contain all of your contact information, which you keep up to date, and share as you wish. Not only is it a tidy solution to sprawling and redundant address book entries, it’s also an attractive one. You personalize your contact card and design it to represent you, with photos (hence the name of the app, I suppose), fonts, and colors.

The interface is almost too straightforward. When you download my facecard, a brief introduction to its purpose and capabilities is presented. Tap through that, and you’re ready to make your own facecard. A sidebar steps you through the four parts of the process: add photos, fill in a profile form, design, preview. Once you’re at the preview you can save and share. The “design” function lets you rearrange the info you put into your profile form and adjust fonts and colors.

The my facecard app seems to present a nice solution to organizing your own info and sharing it efficiently. I think a few changes would make this app awesome, though. First, make the profile a little more flexible. Adding a phone number is mandatory, for example. I assume this is so the call and text icons display and work correctly, but why not make it possible to leave them out? What if I want a contact card only for email? Also, it appears you can only share your facecard with other my facecard users—non-users you send to receive a link suggesting they join my facecard. I get that this is supposed to motivate people to join, but it also limits the app’s practicality. I do like the variety of social networks that can be included, and that they can be accessed directly from a contact’s card. One of the app’s finest features is that you can exchange your facecard with another my facecard member by tapping phones. It’s called the “bump” feature, and it’s accessible from within the app.

All in all, Facecard is a good concept and worth checking out! It’s available for free in the iTunes App Store, so play around with it and see what you think.

News from DailyiPhoneBlog.com:

Lucky Fighter is a new casual game from Hiccup Studio. A customizable main character, quirky art direction, and pick-up-and-play ease are what defines Lucky Fighter—is it enough to catch and keep the attention of fickle casual gamers? To get a piece of the popularity pie, a casual game has to have the “it” factor—whatever it is that makes these games, which are so easy to learn, simply impossible to put down. Lucky Fighter has “it.”

The storyline offers a nice parallel to Lucky Fighter’s newbie role in the App Store. The premise is pure underdog-unleashed. One (hopefully) lucky fighter against one hundred lowlifes who want to mess up her game. Thankfully, they’re at least lining up—Lucky Fighter is a one-on-one enterprise. There’s just a lot of other “ones” to beat before you can declare victory, that’s all. It’s a rough and tumble ride to the top, and action-packed. Don’t worry, though; you won’t need to memorize a phone-book length list of fighting combos to pull it off. Despite the fact that there’s a lot of punching in the face going on, it’s your wits that will ultimately figure in your Game Center stats, and your wits that make or break your attempt to come out on top in this interactive action game.

Well, wits, and how fast you can put them into practice. The weapon chosen for this 1 versus 100 duel is none other than that childhood chestnut, rock-paper-scissors. Opponents line up; the hero faces off with nothing but hand signals to defend herself (at first, anyway), and you can only clear each opponent by winning a rock-paper-scissor combo. What makes this so action-heavy then? Well, each time you win by smashing their scissors, covering their rock, or snipping their paper, you celebrate by punching the clown. Each time they win… yep.

As for winning by wits, there are two things that turn this set up from unstructured, random brawl into a surprisingly sophisticated game: Special items and HP. Your character can only take so much of a beating before it’s time to snivel into the loser’s circle, so it’s vital to take out the bad guys before they destroy you. But since rock-paper-scissors is, mathematically, a game of chance, how can you really win? That’s where the special items come in. HP boosts, sneak peeks at the next plays, and the ability to roll your stats back to where they were 3 turns prior are all perks that come with bonus items that you snag with certain wins. Using them wisely is when brains complement brawn in Lucky Fighter. And if you want a true underdog victory story, that’s the part you’ll have to master. On top of the addictive fusion of simplicity and sophistication, Lucky Fighter offers another tidbit. It’s not essential to gameplay, but the interactive customizable character and the pics you can take using it are pretty awesome. First, you can insert any face from an image you keep in your gallery (or take a pic in-app) as the hero’s face. Second, you can then pose your hero against photo backgrounds. Not just by moving the hero around on a still shot like a virtual sticker—you can position the hero in your live preview viewfinder and snap the pic with the hero inserted.

Plenty of casual game blockbuster-wannabes (and some of the blockbusters) opt for ultra generic graphics and design. Not Lucky Fighter. Edgy alternative-comics inspired artwork provides both the cut scenes and the character design. Lucky Fighter is free to try out in the iTunes App Store today.

Set in a lush farmland, Flick Sheep! appoints the player as shepherd, in charge of gathering a stubborn and slippery group of sheep before the night – and all the danger it brings – begins. Using quick thinking and logic, the player must maneuver the sheep into groups and then safely away as quickly as possible. An increasing number of obstacles in the puzzle including traps like bubbles, boxes, switches, and cages, as well as changing pen layouts, keeps make the task challenging. As the levels climb, you have the opportunity to earn twenty-one achievements, as well buy hints if you get stuck.

The game couldn’t be any more simple to operate and play. Once the game is loaded onto the user’s iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad, it’s ready to go; it requires no preliminary setup or setting changes. The controls are standard touch and swipe. The sheep’s pen is set up in a grid-like layout, and the sheep can only be moved (or flicked) one square at a time.

Its simplicity is one of its biggest assets. Because the controls are effortless, it really allows you to concentrate on the puzzles. While the sheep gathering is initially simple in the first couple of levels to allow you to familiarize yourself with the layout, it becomes challenging quickly, and maintains that challenge and interest by adding different traps and layouts. With over 90 levels available to play (and counting!), this is no easy feat, and one the devs have accomplished with flying colors.

There’s also GameCenter integration, so once you get your friends and family as sucked into the game as you inevitably will be, you can check up on their current achievements and high scores and rankings as well. With so much to enjoy about the game, I would say the only minor disappointment is the hints – as I mentioned earlier, you have the opportunity to buy hints, either through earning them with your achievements, or through actual in app purchase. The hint is simply one arrow, showing the direction you should move next, offered rather inexplicably by a bystander wearing a cape. While it’s good to have the safety net of knowing the hints are there if I need them, I would have preferred it if they had offered a little more guidance.

Again, the simplicity of the game is key in its graphics and music as well. The sheep, obstacles, and background are bright and straightforward without being boring or flat. The music itself is light and fun, although the sheepdog assistant that barks twice each time a sheep is moved gets annoying quickly.

Flick Sheep! (iTunes Link) is available at the iTunes App Store for free. For the number of levels that you get to play and the workout your brain will get, it’s a great bargain. Just make sure that you’re operating iOS 4.0 or later on your device.
