Ravenous games hit the App Store with a surprise release today. The League of Evil 2 is out and ready for you to get your grubby little paws all over it.

The sequel to the award-winning platformer features 100 frenzied levels and 5 unique worlds. And knowing the developer, it’s likely there’s more on the way via updates.

Forewarning, if you loved the pixel art of the previous game you won’t find it here. Instead, the artwork has been replaced with a vibrant comic book style designed by small indie game studio Bulletproof Outlaws. If you’re not dead set on the retro style of its predecessor, The League of Evil 2 still looks great.

Best yet, the game supports iCloud back-up so you can keep playing exactly where you left off on whatever iDevice you’re using.

To mark its launch, the game is on sale for a limited time ($0.99 Universal) Personally, I’ve been itching to decapitate some evil scientists all day.
