Steve Jobs was honoured last night with the Trustees Grammy Award for his efforts and contributions to the music industry. The award is given annually by the Recording Academy to “individuals who, during their careers in music, have made significant contributions, other than performance, to the field of recording”.
Eddy Cue, an Apple executive, accepted the award on behalf of Steve’s wife and children. Eddie described Steve as “a visionary, a mentor and a very close friend.”
Previous recipients of the award include The Beatles, Walt Disney, and Quincy Jones.
