The Case Mate, Venture for iPad 2, for my review came in luscious faux Ostrich leather pink. But if your not an ‘out there’ sort of person you could choose the grey or black or purple.

The Venture is matt pink with a Ostrich-feather design and the two contrasts of pink go well together. To further enhance the individual characteristics of the case, a gold-leaf binding is interwoven around the lid-flap and around the back of the case seams around the flap.

The case protects both the back and front of your iPad and it is roomy enough to not only hold your iPad securely but also did not interrupt my using a skin on the back of my iPad and a screen protector on the front of my iPad. There are access slots to the charging port, volume keys, mute key, microphone, headphone connector and camera. I am pleased to see the microphone slot as too many of the new design cases for the iPad 2 neglect to incorporate this.  It is not so much a case of my not using it, but I do like to have the option available to me should I decide to do so. The camera slot gives ample freedom and so avoids any obstruction when taking images. This again is a nice concept. There are cases that avoid a camera slot altogether which in a secure environment is ideal but on those social occasions, you do want to be able to use the camera if the opportunity becomes available. The thoughtfulness of the speaker cut-out is nicely done to allow sound through but in such a way as to not mar the design.

To-date anyone that has seen the Venture case has admired its design, structure, materials and the beautiful construction.
