Verizon kills unlimited data

Verizon one of the two national carriers for the iPhone has confirmed the rumor of removing their unlimited data plan. Verizon will remove their unlimited data plan effective Thursday July 7th.
New smart phonecostumers will choose one of the following four data plan options: $10 for 75 MB per month,$30 for 2 GB,$50 for 5 GB or $80 for 10 GB. There will be a charge for over use of $10 per GB.
Folks who already have a contract with Verizon and upgrade to a smart phone after July 7th will be allowed to keep their smart phone unlimited data plan similar to AT & T.The carrier is also rumored to lower prices for the iPhone 4 to 150.

wtf!!
Another reason not to go with Verizon! It always amazes me how quick they are to offer you one of the latest handsets, that virtually, have to be constantly connected to the net to get the most from them, then bottle it when it comes to offering a respectable data plan! I’d say bollox to em personally and find an alternative provider, even if it does mean paying slightly more for your phone. Hit em where it hurts for long enough, and you may just get them to change their strategy on data plan pricing!
