Since 2007 Cupertino and that man in the turtle neck sweater have been regular in bringing us a June release of new iPhone hardware, this year that yearly cycle has now gone out of the window. Why?
The recent Mother of nature fueled events in Japan may have had an impact on the manufacturing side of any new iPhone as many factories and companies were either heavily damaged or affected by the freak events of both earthquakes and tsunamis. Another theory is that sales of the iPhone 4 have been so good Apple doesn’t want to be left with large stocks of a quality product that is now selling at a premium price but would sell at a reduced price once a new handset hits the market. Apple has made a habit of reducing the “older” handset price with the release of a new model.
So when is the iPhone 5 actually going to be with us? My guess is this September, possibly first week sporting the brand new iOS5. Fingers crossed folks.
When do think we will see the late released iPhone 5? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
