- Jailbroken iPhone 3G or iPhone 3GS on iOS 4.1 firmware (Need help jailbreaking your iPhone? Check out these guides.)
- OpenSSH installed
- An SFTP client on your computer
- If you have an iPhone 3G grab the file from the following path: / System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/N82AP.plist
- If you have an iPhone 3GS grab the file from here: / System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/N88AP.plist
Step 2: Copy the plist file on the desktop of your computer and open it.
Step 3: Add a key named “hdr-image-capture” with a boolean value of “true” to the ‘capabilities” section of this property list as shown in screenshot. Just, copy and paste the following string in the file:
<key> hdr-image-capture </ key> <true/>
Step 4: Save the plist and upload it back into the iPhone using SSH.
Step 5: Restart SpringBoard, or just Reboot your device
Voila! You now have HDR setting in the camera application of your iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS! The method was discovered by cdevwill and works flawlessly but need to wait till iPhone dev Team releases tools to jailbreak iOS 4.1 firmware.
